Submit a Manuscript
At Texas Birder Press, we believe good books can change the way people see the world.
We are especially interested in books that encourage curiosity, celebrate the natural world, and inspire readers to explore, learn, and appreciate the places and creatures around them.
If that sounds like your manuscript, we’d love to hear from you.
What We Publish

What We Are Not Currently Seeking
At this time, we are generally not considering:
- Fiction novels
- Children’s books
- Academic textbooks
- Technical or scientific journals
- Political works
- Horror or fantasy
- Erotica
- AI-generated manuscripts without substantial human authorship and editing
What Makes a Great Submission?
We look for manuscripts that:
- Teach something useful or meaningful
- Tell a compelling story
- Reflect a genuine passion for the subject
- Offer a fresh perspective
- Are well organized and thoughtfully written
- Connect with readers emotionally or intellectually
Perfect grammar is helpful.
Authenticity is essential.
We can help polish a manuscript. We cannot supply the passion behind it.

Review Process
Texas Birder Press is a small independent publisher.
We personally review every submission that appears to fit our publishing interests.
Because of the volume of submissions and the time required for careful review:
- We cannot guarantee a response to every submission.
- Response times may vary.
- Submission does not guarantee publication.
If we believe your manuscript may be a good fit, we will contact you for additional information and to discuss possible next steps.
Rights
Please submit only work that is your own and for which you control the publishing rights.
Submitting your manuscript does not transfer any rights to Texas Birder Press.
Your work remains yours unless a separate written publishing agreement is executed.
A Final Thought
Birds don’t all sing the same song.
Neither do writers.
Some books teach.
Some inspire.
Some help readers discover places they never knew existed.
And some simply remind us that the world is larger, stranger, and more beautiful than we imagined.
If your manuscript does that, we’d be delighted to take a look.
